A rehearsed reading of the new play by James Martin Charlton, for whom Benet directed I Really Must Be Getting Off earlier in the spring, Whatever is an extraordinary new black comedy in which Dean, a young working class lad, forms a relationship with Deelen, a man double his age he met on the internet, to the chagrin of his BNP supporting brother Tone.

The reading infront of an invited audience was at the request of Soho Theatre's literary department. It is to be hoped that this will be just the beginning of a life for 'Whatever'.
